Study Abroad Admissions

Widener’s study abroad programs are open to students who have completed at least one year of study in an ABA-accredited law school and who are in good standing at their schools, and to graduates of ABA-accredited law schools. American lawyers, foreign law students or foreign applicants with graduate degrees in disciplines other than law, may be considered for admission. If you’re an extended-division student, please contact the Coordinator of Study Abroad Programs or 302-477-2248 for further information.

Formal acceptance into the program can only be granted once all application requirements are fulfilled.

Please note: if you are a Widener student, you must have a minimum of a 2.3 GPA to be accepted into our summer abroad programs. Delaware students must obtain a Dean’s Action approval from the dean of student’s office if they have a GPA between 2.3 and 2.5. Students will be required to leave the program if they do not maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA at the end of the spring semester.
