MJ-HL: GCE Program Overview

The MJ-HL: GCE is a master’s degree program for individuals seeking graduate-level training in legal analysis and global regulatory compliance and ethics. It is designed for those with careers or seeking careers with international corporate, business, nonprofit, health, or government entities.

Online, Flexible Scheduling

This online master’s degree program is designed to accommodate working professionals who seek to improve employment opportunities or simply keep pace with changing regulatory requirements. Delaware Law’s MJ-HL: GCE requires 29 credit hours of coursework and can be completed in two academic years.

During the global capstone course, students work through simulations to resolve global compliance issues and mock exam questions for the Compliance Certification Board's (CCB’s) exam to become a certified compliance and ethics professional–international (CCEP-I)®. According to the CCB, the CCEP-I is someone with knowledge of relevant international regulations and expertise in compliance processes sufficient to assist organizations with their legal obligations and who promotes organizational integrity through the operation of effective compliance programs.

CCB Accreditation

Delaware Law is one of few law schools in the country accredited by the Compliance Certification Board (CCB) and is also a member of the Health Care Compliance Association (HCCA) and  Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE). Delaware Law has received the SCCE International Compliance Award for Educational Compliance Programs.

Students who complete CCB-accredited compliance coursework from a CCB-accredited school, such as Delaware Law, are exempt from the 1500 hours of work experience in a compliance-related field, which is normally required to sit for a CCB exam.

Program Objectives

Career professionals who benefit from this master’s degree program include health care managers, global ethics and compliance officers, risk managers, audit managers, and government and agency officials with international partners as well as those individuals seeking positions in health care-related fields.

In response to the growing need for trained graduates in health law, Delaware Law offers three program tracks in the health care regulatory compliance arena: 1) regulatory analysis and compliance; 2) legal nurse consulting and compliance; and 3) global compliance and ethics.

The tuition for the 2015-2016 academic year is $1,024 per credit.* Financial aid is available for qualified students. (*Subject to change.)
