Delaware Law’s MJ-CBL: GCE is a master’s degree program for those who seek graduate-level training in legal analysis and global regulatory compliance and ethics in preparation for, or to complement, international corporate, business, nonprofit, or government careers.
This online program accommodates the working professional who seeks to improve employment opportunities or simply keep pace with changing regulatory requirements. The MJ-CBL: GCE requires 29 credit hours of coursework and can be completed in two academic years.
During the global capstone course, students work through simulations to resolve global compliance issues and mock exam questions for the Compliance Certification Board's (CCB’s) certification exam. Individuals who pass the exam are certified as corporate compliance and ethics professionals-international (CCEP-I). CCB describes the CCEP-I® as someone with knowledge of relevant international regulations and expertise in compliance processes sufficient to assist organizations with their legal obligations and who promotes organizational integrity through the operation of effective compliance programs.
Delaware Law’s MJ:CBL has the distinction of being accredited by the CCB and being a member of the Society for Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE). Delaware Law received the SSCCE’s 7th Annual International Compliance Award for the Law School’s exceptional work to further the compliance and ethics profession. Delaware Law was specifically recognized for achievements in academic development promoting the profession of compliance and ethics, technology focused on assisting compliance professionals, and the development of programs focused on integrity and ethical behaviors.
Students graduating from this program earn not only a master’s degree but also a global compliance and ethics certificate. Delaware Law is the first CCB-accredited law school to offer this area of specialization.

Delaware Law and Widener University’s School of Business are collaborating to offer a dual degree: the master of jurisprudence (MJ) in corporate and business law and master of business administration (MBA). The MJ/MBA provides graduate students the opportunity to simultaneously pursue an education in regulatory analysis and compliance and in business.
Students benefit from the strategic strength of two academic programs and an accelerated schedule. The dual degree program reducing to 48 the 62 credits that otherwise would be required to consecutively complete the two programs. The MJ/MBA can be completed in approximately two- and a-half years. Students who successfully complete the program receive two separate degrees and may attend both commencement ceremonies, if desired.

Provided entirely online, the MJ/MBA program is a convenient educational option. Courses focus on the elements of a compliance program (i.e., how to develop, implement, maintain, train, audit, and monitor such a program) and the laws and regulations that impact businesses in the quest to be compliant.

Individuals who pass the exam are certified as compliance and ethics professionals (CCEPs). In turn, the CCB waives its requirement of 1500 hours of compliance work experience for successful completion of the degree.
