Each fall, employers are invited to come to campus and interview our students for summer and permanent positions. Employers are typically large corporate firms that expect to hire significant numbers of law students and attorneys during the coming year. Often employers are nationally known law firms or large government agencies.
Our recruitment program is competitive. Most of the interviewing takes place in August and September and participating employers usually make their hiring decisions by Thanksgiving. Students can apply for this program online, using Symplicity, and should watch for Campus Cruiser email alerts that advertise the fall program beginning late spring or early summer.
Employers are also invited to participate in our campus recruitment program each spring. This is a more diverse group than those employers invited in the fall. Generally they represent smaller firms, local courts, and military JAG offices that prefer to recruit closer to the time when they will actually need an attorney or law clerk to begin work.
The spring recruitment program is less concentrated than the fall program. Employers' deadline dates are spread throughout the entire semester and hiring decisions may be made at any time. Students use Symplicity to apply online for this program and, beginning in late January or early February, should begin to watch for Campus Cruiser email alerts advertising the spring recruitment program.
